Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate,
With the chemical formula MgSO₄-7H₂O, consists of white or colorless needle-shaped or obliquely columnar crystals. It is odorless, cool, and slightly bitter. When heated, it decomposes, gradually losing its water of crystallization to form anhydrous magnesium sulfate. Its magnesium content is approximately 9.8%. Magnesium sulfate heptahydrate is primarily used in fertilizers, leather, printing and dyeing, catalysts, papermaking, plastics, porcelain, pigments, matches, and fireproofing. It is also used in the printing and dyeing of thin cotton and silk, as a weighting agent and filler for cotton and wood products, and as a laxative salt in medicine.
Application:
(1) As a base fertilizer, magnesium sulfate can be used as a direct fermentation agent or as a component of compound fertilizer.
(2) As a selected fertilizer, magnesium sulfate can be used in ditches or dissolved in water once it reaches sufficient standards.
(3) Magnesium sulfate can be used as a foliar fertilizer during the initial and mid-growth periods.
(4) Different crops have different requirements for spray concentrations, and the same crop has different requirements at different growth stages. For example, fruit trees should have a spray concentration of 0.5-1.0%; vegetables should have a spray concentration of 0.2-0.5%; and crops should have a spray concentration of 0.3-0.8%.
Magnesium sulfate is a compound containing magnesium, the chemical formula isMgSO4, is a commonly used chemical reagent and drying reagent, colorless orwhite crystalor powder, odorless, bitter taste, deliquing.
Magnesium Sulfate has a wide range ofapplications in several fields, including:
1. Agriculture: Magnesium sulfate can be used as fertilizer, especially suitable formagnesium deficiency crops, such as tomatoes, potatoes and so on.
2. Industry: Magnesium sulfate also has a variety of uses in industry, such as makingleather, paper, porcelain and so on.
