Description
Anhydrous magnesium sulfate MgS04 is white or off-white powder, density 2.66kg/m3, melting point 1124℃, soluble in water, glycerin, easy to absorb moisture, heated to 450℃ in air, becomes basic magnesium sulfate, heated to 1124℃, decomposes at a greater speed into Mg0, 02, S02 and S03.
Main use
In the printing and dyeing industry, it is used as a color salt for blue dyes and as an alkali absorber in black liquid to ensure that the pH value is between 6 and 7 for uniform dyeing. It can also be used as a cement fire retardant, papermaking filler, and textile weighting agent.
