How to use ferrous sulfate heptahydrate in agriculture

Choosing the right product is crucial to ensuring your customers receive a satisfying and functional user experience. The following guidelines can help you make the best choice.

Agricultural Uses (Soil/Crop Iron Supplementation)

Used to correct soil chlorosis caused by iron deficiency (e.g., citrus, roses, rice, etc.). Adjust dosage based on soil pH and crop needs.

1. Soil Application:

As a base fertilizer: Apply 5-10 kg per mu (approximately 1 acre) after mixing with organic fertilizer and applying to the soil. (Avoid applying large amounts alone to prevent soil compaction.)

As a topdressing fertilizer: Dilute to a 0.2%-0.5% aqueous solution (i.e., add 2-5 g to 1 liter of water) and apply to the roots every 10-15 days for 2-3 consecutive times.

2. Foliar Spray:

Dilute to a 0.1%-0.3% concentration and spray at the early stages of leaf chlorosis. Apply in the evening or on cloudy days, focusing on the underside of leaves to maximize absorption.

3. Note:

Not suitable for alkaline soils (pH > 7.5). Soil pH must be adjusted first (e.g., by adding ammonium sulfate). Otherwise, the iron will convert to insoluble ferric hydroxide, making it unavailable for absorption. Avoid mixing with alkaline pesticides (such as Bordeaux mixture), as this will render them ineffective
